Sunrise Hill Resort, Khandala – Bringing Out the Best Time

I reached the Lonavala Railway Station at midnight; nevertheless, I had an idea about my arrival and had arranged a cab with the hotel Sunrise Hill Resort, Khandala to travel conveniently to my room, which I had booked downloading the hotel app on my mobile phone. My cab was on time and connected me through a call to inform its arrival. It didn’t take me long to reach the entrance of the railway station and board the cab.

The Sunrise Hill Resort was situated on the Hill Top Colony and was just a ten-minute drive from the station. It is a budget hotel and suitable for any class of traveler. I liked the place as it was idyllic and picturesque all around. Sitting pretty well on top of the Khandala hill, the resort offered excellent views of the Sahayadri Mountains.

There were around 30 rooms, which were categorized into Deluxe, Executive and Suite rooms. I was welcomed at the reception, which was a small area and partitioned at one corner. The lobby though not very large was well-maintained and adequately furnished. The floors were tiled and looked neat and beautiful.

I had booked a Deluxe Room and after the formalities, I was ushered to my room on the first floor. The room looked elegant and well-designed. It was quite spacious to offer enough privacy. The soft pastels matched the furnishings around and offered warmth and relaxation. The window was large and draped adequately and it offered the splendid view of the surroundings.

The resort offered excellent facilities such as the air condition, 24-hour room service, hot and cold water, swimming pool, children’s play area, newspaper, laundry, pool table, table tennis, and other indoor games.

There is also a restaurant and bar to help the guests have the delightful foods and drinks of their choice. As for sightseeing, Sunrise Hill Resort, Khandala offered easy accessibility to many places such as Rye Wood Park, Valvan Dam, Dukes Nose, Tungarli Lake, Bushi Dam, Bhaja Caves, and so on.

Since I had reached at the midnight, there was enough time for me to catch some sleep. Moreover, I had to fix my itinerary to go around to places in Lonavala.
