On the next day at around 6:30am, we reached the Mumbai station. The journey was long, but the services offered were great in the train. We disembarked the train at the station and came across a large crowd of people, who were at the station to catch the train for their workplaces. The station was flooded with people. This was my first visit to Mumbai, and I was not used to such a large population. The station was packed with people, and we had to push them and make our way. My friend Rajesh has been here many times, and he was laughing at my expressions. Eventually, we managed to come out of the station, and looked for our cab which was sent from our pre booked accommodation at the Citizen Hotel of Mumbai.
We soon found our cab and started towards our hotel. It took us a lot of time to reach the place owing to Mumbai traffic. But the site of the hotel relaxed me a bit. The hotel was located in the posh commercial area of Juhu and had beautifully architecture. It was a multistoried building that was a three star business cum boutique hotel. But I spotted mostly the pleasure travelers who came to explore the city, just like me. We confirmed our bookings at the front desk, and then were ushered to our room. The lobby of the hotel was elegantly decorated.
Our room was on the second floor. The entire ambience of Citizen Hotel of Mumbai was pleasing and designed with an aura of charm. The staff was polite and affable. We were ushered to our room, and the staff member arranged our luggage. We ordered our morning coffee, and he left with a smiling gesture. We then explore the room that was very nicely done with the modern furniture. All the modern amenities were facilitated in the room. We refreshed ourselves and meanwhile served with a nice aromatic coffee with cookies. We enjoyed it over a small conversation, and relaxed for a while, before we could plan for our tour of the city.
