Hotel Asian Confluence - An Epitome of Hospitality

As I love luxurious travel and accommodation, I always book my hotel before I reach a place, so that I do not have to make any compromise with my accommodation. Before going to Shillong I had my room booked in Hotel Asian Confluence, which is a three star hotel in the city with all facilities. When I reached the airport, there was a cab sent from the hotel, waiting to pick me up. The hotel was about 32 km from the airport and I reached the hotel within 40 minutes. The way to the hotel was very beautiful and I enjoyed the scenery.

The hotel was very impressive and had a lawn and garden in front of it. The room I booked was very spacious and had all the facilities like a comfortable bed, wooden flooring, writing desk, sofas, LCD TV with cable connection, telephone, newspaper, internet etc. The bathroom was also large in size and had 24 hour hot/cold running water and toiletries. Some of the important tourist sites like Lady Hydari Park, Don Bosco Museum etc are places close to the hotel. The halls and the passages were all beautifully designed and decorated.

There was no in-house restaurant in the hotel, but the room service provided excellent food once you order what you require. The conference hall and the banquet hall could accommodate 30 to 70 guests at a time. They were well equipped with all facilities for the convenience of the guests. There was a library and a tea lounge also in the hotel. As I was an avid reader, I spent most of my time in the hotel by reading books in the library.

The daily housekeeping kept the rooms and the passages neat and clean. The travel desk at the hotel was very helpful and provided me with all details on different tourist places in and near Shillong. They arranged cabs for my travel to these places at reasonable rates.

The staff at the hotel was very courteous and helpful and always assisted you in ant confusion. I had a wonderful time at Hotel Asian Confluence and I will recommend it anyone who visits Shillong.
