With the excitement of visiting the city of Nawabs, I got up at around 7’o clock in the morning. Most of my co-passengers were still asleep. I was also lost in the thoughts of learning about some fascinating chapters of history. My thoughts were interrupted by the morning tea from the train pantry. With the refreshing tea, I opened my travel guide to Lucknow and started making a tentative schedule and placed I would visit on my trip. At around 10:15, I reached my destination. I disembarked the train and looked for my pre-booked cab which then took me to the Arif Castles Hotel. The hotel was located very close to the railway station and was beautifully architected into a three story building. I was ushered by the affable staff that carried my luggage to my room after the necessary paper work.
My room was on the third floor, as I like heights. It gives immense pleasure to look at the city spread around when I am at heights. Don’t you?
I was pleased by the beautiful interior of the room when I entered. The decently sized room was facilitated by all the basic and modern amenities that a person on vacation would like to enjoy. I made myself comfortable and then made some coffee from the provided coffee maker and enjoyed it while watching television. Wow, what else one needs on a winter morning!! Well, I was on a vacation and didn’t want to waste it by sleeping or watching TV in a luxurious hotel room. Rather, I had great plans for the day. So, I quickly got ready and looked for the breakfast menu which had a number of options. I ordered my breakfast in the room.
After filling up myself with the delicious breakfast, I started exploring Arif Castles Hotel. It was well designed, more inclined to give the Nawabi feel. I was feeling happy about the choice of the hotel that was value to money. I asked the staff members about the nearby places to visit. They were very co-operative and guided me by the places and maps. The hotel also arranged for my travel within the city.
