Museums In Ahmedabad-Auto World Vintage Car Museum, Calico Museum Of Textiles : Find Adventure And Excitement!

My name is Lalit Chandran and I am a garment exporter. After a year of slaving away at work all I ever wanted was to take a break and enjoy some of the things that make our country special. With a little extra cash from my last order I booked myself a first class seat on a flight to Ahmedabad. The aircraft was well-equipped to answer my every whim and they did it with such finesse! Once I landed in Ahmedabad I was met by the hotel’s car that whisked me away to a very extravagant stay.

I have always been a great admirer of our country’s cultural background and also its deep history. Every year no matter where I holiday I make sure that I visit every historical monument and fort and most of all I make sure that I learn their stories. So when I planned a vacation to Ahmedabad I made sure to do some reading in advance. I grabbed a few history books before heading to the luxury hotel so I can decide on the best places to visit in the city.

With a little help from the travel desk at the hotel I booked a car to take me to the famous Auto world vintage car museum in Ahmedabad. The museum had so many exhibits that an entire day spent looking at them didn’t seem enough. I even visited the Calico museum of textiles in Ahmedabad. This museum will always be close to my heart. It made me proud to be a part of the textile industry! After every tiring day I would return to the hotel to find a warm and delicious meal from the local cuisine waiting for me and when at the end of my trip I had had my fill of the city I decided to take some time off for myself and book a massage at the hotel’s spa for a relaxed end to an otherwise eventful holiday!

"Hi there, my name is Lalit Chandran. I currently reside in ‘Pink city’ i.e. Jaipur where I run a garment export business. Having spent all my childhood in Rajasthan, I fell in love with Indian history and all its glory. So, whenever I get an opportunity, I travel to various places all across India exploring old cities, museums, forts and historic monuments. This blog will catalogue all the places I have visited, people I have met along the way and different cultures I got a chance to experience.

I am hoping sharing all my adventures will help raise awareness about our ancient heritage and maybe help preserve and protect these remnants  of India’s glorious past. Feel free to leave your comments. "
