Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary Ahmedabad : Fall In Love With Nature!

After slaving around all the year round at my garment export business my middle aged body could take it no more! I decided to do what I love the most and that is exploring historical places around India and understanding the different cultures that are to be found in each new place. I had quite a bit of money put away for my vacation so I was able to afford first class tickets on a plane to Ahmedabad. The first class ticket I booked permitted me a lot of indulgences in-flight like entertainment options, in-flight meals, and magazines.

When I landed in Ahmedabad I was met by a chauffeured car from a luxurious hotel where I had pre-booked a room for my vacation. The room was exquisitely designed and also came with a spectacular view of the city and its forts and monuments. The hotel had an in-house library where I spent most of my leisure time burying myself in history books. I even made use of the in-house spa and salon to meditate and relax my body and mind.

The hotel’s travel desk helped me book a car to the famous Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary in Ahmedabad. This sanctuary is located on the west of Ahmedabad and was easy to get to. I spent an entire day looking at the many species of birds and animals that have found refuge here. The sanctuary houses a scenic Lake where most of the birds retreat to relax and I had a great time watching them from a boat I hired.

The people in Ahmedabad are always ready to help you out and I have found that their hospitality is infectious! The whole affair of travelling to Ahmedabad and back to my home town Jaipur was made much simpler and easier on me by many people and when I was finally back I could proudly say that I was contented with my holiday!
